Police Department

The Pembroke Police Department is a full service department with an open door policy. The officers are trained at the New River Criminal Justice Training Academy in Dublin, Virginia where the Chief sits on the board of directors. The officers of the Pembroke Police receive training annually and biannually through the academy and are instructed by DCJS certified instructors and instructors from the Virginia State Police, FBI, DEA, Secret Service and many other Federal and State agencies. Our department serves our town seven days a week without fail. The Pembroke Police are equipped with the most modern tools of the trade from computers to handguns and the most up to date police vehicles along with radar and radio equipment. We investigate all crime and incidents within our jurisdictional boundaries and provide speed enforcement and neighborhood patrol. The Pembroke Police work in conjunction with all of the town police departments within our county and they work with and alongside of the Giles County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police.
